Local Resources
Our community is stronger thanks to the people, spaces, and organizations who make our programs possible. On this page, you’ll find a collection of local resources including recurring programs, special events, and organizations that provide support and wellness opportunities throughout New Albany and beyond. Whether you are looking to attend an event, connect with a facilitator, or find helpful local services, this page serves as a guide to the people and places that help our community thrive.
Programs & Hosts
These programs bring people together for regular opportunities to practice wellness, learn new skills, and connect with others in the community. Some programs occur monthly, while others are special events hosted by guest facilitators throughout the year.
Recurring Programs
Led by Elizabeth Wood, iRest is a research backed meditation practice adapted from Yoga Nidra. It combines meditation, mindfulness, and physiological relaxation to help reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and support overall wellbeing. We host iRest monthly at the Library and outdoors in the Rose Run Garden when weather permits.

In partnership with GoYoga Studios, we offer a monthly community yoga session that welcomes all levels from first timers to longtime practitioners. Each class blends gentle movement, mindful breathing, and guided relaxation to foster balance, strength, and calm. These sessions are a chance to pause, reconnect with yourself, and share energy in a supportive environment.
Art Connection is a monthly creative gathering designed to spark imagination and nurture connection. Hosted at Marigold Studios, these sessions invite participants to explore a variety of art forms in a relaxed, welcoming space. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to create.
