About the Event

We are excited to introduce you all to Rachelle Martin, Executive Director of NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) Franklin County during our 2/22 Let’s Chat!

We met with Rachelle two years ago to see if we could bring NAMI’s Family to Family Support Group to New Albany. Not only were we able to bring it to New Albany, Rachelle is the facilitator of the group. 👏

To know Rachelle, is to admire and love her. She is an incredible human and is full of kindness, wisdom, resources, compassion and has a very gentle way of interacting with others. We feel lucky to call her a friend.

During our Let’s Chat, Sarah will talk with Rachelle about the needs NAMI is seeing in our community as well as the vast array of resources NAMI provides.

Rachelle possesses 40 years of public service experience in the healthcare field, including coordination of health care systems nationally and internationally.  Currently she is the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Franklin County and. Rachelle was formally the Director of Training and Prevention Network Services Manager for the ADAMH Board of Franklin County and the co-founding partner of the Suicide Prevention Advisory Committee and the Suicide Prevention Foundation and where she chaired the Advisory Committee for over four years.

Rachelle has been Project Coordinator for the HIV Outreach Demonstration Support Project, sponsored by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT).  She was the team leader for the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Project, sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
